The Marie-Annick Book Cover SAL is now fully published, so there are no new instalments to come. There is no deadline to stitch it, however, so new members are welcome at any time! This pattern was designed in memory of Marie-Annick. Find out more about her HERE.

By the end of this SAL, you will have stitched and assembled a pretty little book cover.

NOTE: Membership is purchased ONCE for the whole SAL – there are no extra fees for each section.

Please also note that you will need a sewing machine to finish this design into a book cover. If you do not have access to a sewing machine, you can always stitch this design onto a ready made book cover (as Marie-Annick used to do), or simply frame it instead.

MARIE-ANNICK CROSS-STITCH SAL (stitch-along)

How large is the finished design? What size fabric is required? Karen R. asked on 25th March 2024

Hi Karen
The stitched design is 60 x 60 stitches (11 x 11 cm), and I recommend using 22 x 22 cm of 14ct fabric for this project, which gives you a comfortable 5 cm margin all around. That's only the stitched size - the finished book cover is obviously bigger. The finishing tutorial isn't based on a fixed size for the book cover. It's built so that you can tailor the cover size to the book size of your choice.
