Creative Process – Wintry Blooms Biscornu

Hello everyone 🙂 !!

I’ve not published any blog articles for a little while, now, and New Year new resolutions helping, I’ve decided to show you a slightly different aspect of my work, for a change.

So here we go – I’ve put together a slideshow for you (thank goodness for the technical support offered by my 14-year-old!!) that shows various steps in the process of creating my latest biscornu, from the first sketch to the finished model. You’ll see how the design evolves in layers and how some of the colours change as I go through the designing and change my mind. Then comes the stitching, and it’s quite interesting to see the difference the special stitches and the beads make.

I hope you enjoy this little video 🙂 :

The chart for Wintry Blooms Biscornu is available here.

Now, you might have noticed that the last 2 pictures before the finished biscornu are really quite similar…

Can you tell what’s changed?

    1. Thank you, Lesley, I’m so pleased that you enjoyed it 🙂 !! I didn’t realise it was that complex to turn pictures into a video!! I’ve still got progress to make, as for some reason, it keeps running with a black background for up to 10 minutes…!! No idea why!! But I’ll work it out, and I’ll fix it for the next video 🙂 I’ll get my son to help again, if needs be – he loves it when I beg for help 😉 !
